BUL FC were 3-1 home winners over 10-man Mbarara City in the premier league on Tuesday at the FUFA technical center, Njeru.
Wol Makueth gave visitors hope in the 33rd minute but BUL rallied from behind to secure 11th win of the campaign with goals from Richard Wandyaka, Pilsner man of the match Timothy Douglas Owori and Hamisi Tibita in the 41st, 58th and 89th minute respectively.
The Ankole Lions played the last 37 minutes less by a man after defender Ronnie Kisekka saw a straight red card. The win moved BUL to 6th, level on 43 points with 4th placed Mbarara City that better in goal (2) difference.
Meanwhile, Maroons further cemented their survival with a point from their barren home stalemate against Kirinya Jinja SS in the game where visitors’ George Kasonko was named Pilsner man of the match.
Maroons are already safe in 12th position with 33 points, 7 points off relegation with a game to go while Jinja SS are 8th with 40 points.
