*Byekwaso summons 40 ahead of upcoming CECAFA Challenge Cup*

Coach Morley Byekwaso has summoned a 40-man squad for the upcoming CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.
Uganda will be one of the nations taking part in the regional tournament that will take place between 3rd and 18th of June in Ethiopia.
The tournament will feature players under the age of 23 from the difference CECAFA region member-nations.
It is also understood that three players over the stipulated age will be allowed to take part.
The senior players from which the three will be chosen include foalkeepers Watenga Ismail (Chippa United FC) and Charles Lukwago (KCCA FC), Striker Yunus Ssentamu (Vipers SC), defender Murushid Juuko (Express FC) and midfielder Saidi Kyeyune (unattached).
A final squad of 23 players will be named later this month as the team intensifies its preparations.
The players will meet at FUFA House in Mengo on Friday 18th June 2021 at 8am and then head to Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisaasi for residential camp.
