During the weekend, avid rugby fans immersed themselves in the World Rugby HSBC Sevens Challenger Series action at Legends Grounds Lugogo, the proud home of Guinness Rugby.
The event, hosted in Montevideo, Uruguay, showcased Uganda’s Lady Rugby Cranes, who delivered a spirited performance, securing a commendable fourth place. However, their journey concluded with a 29-12 defeat to Belgium in the intense third-place playoff match.
Meanwhile, the men’s team wrapped up the tournament in sixth place, facing a setback against Germany in the challenging men’s 5th place play-off.

Guinness used the occasion to bring their new Future Serve campaign to life. The campaign, a nod to the skill behind pouring the perfect serve, aims to have Guinness consumer savour their favourite stout in its most ideal form.

On the Guinness association with rugby, Tumwizere reiterated that the brand is committed to the growth on the game in Uganda.
