Following President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni directives that all Schools and other institutions should be closed for a period of 32 days, Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Associations (USSSA) on Thursday 19th, March released a document informing all Regional and District Chairpersons.
Shafiq Mudholo the head coach Mukono Kings High School is worried it will be hard for the Boys to return on tge same pace.
“The closing of Schools is good to our lives but on the side of Sports it will cost us on performance” Stated Mudholo in interview with our www.sportsoceanug.com reporter.
The Morale has ben high but i don’t expect by the time we get back to training to be at the same level. Added Mudholo.
The 2005 Uganda Premier League and 2006 CECAFA winner with Police said they took time advising the Boys not to be lazy when they reach home.
“We expect them to keep in mind. We advised them to do individual trainings at home and we reminded them our objectives.
Under Mudholo Shafiq guidance Mukono Kings High School have had a fine performance winning all her games in the qualifiers up to the quarter finals and yet to concede a goal.
To reach this stage Mukono Kings High School defeated Namugongo College and St Charles Lwanga Bukerere 3-0 and 7-0 respectively.
In the second round, Mukono Kings High School defeated regional champions in St John High School Kauga 1-0, thrashed Nakanyonyi SS 4-0 before a 1-0 hard fought win over Nile High School.
Mukono District will be represented by the best two performing Schools to the greater Mukono region.
Greater Mukono is comprised of Kayunga, Buikwe, Buvuma and Mukono Districts.
The best three performing School from the region ( Greater Mukono) will qualify to 2020 Copa Coca Cola post primaries.
