Uganda Crested Cranes head coach Faridah Bulega is hopeful her charges will swiftly recover from Thursday’s 3-0 loss to Kenya in the ongoing Cecafa omen challenge Cup in Tanzania.

Mercy Airo, Jereko Mwanalima and substitute Jentrix Shikangwa (penalty) scored a goal for each to guide Kenya to victory and finish top in group B on 9 points.

 “We already put the loss behind and now focused on the semi final turf match against defending champions and hosts Tanzania. We know it will be turf for us but we are determined to stage a shock,” noted Bulega.

Uganda will play hosts Tanzania in the semi-final this Saturday at Chamazi stadium while Kenya will take on Burundi. Both Uganda and Kenya came into Thursday’s encounter with semi-finals berths already confirmed.
