Cricket Uganda has officially renewed its partnership with Hariss International Limited, confirming Sky View as the exclusive soft drinks partner for the 2026 editions of the Schools Cricket Week.
The agreement marks the third consecutive year of collaboration between the two organizations, reinforcing a shared commitment to developing grassroots cricket in Uganda. Sky View has supported Cricket Uganda’s premier post-primary schools’ competitions since 2024, with sponsorship growing significantly over time.
Since the partnership began in August 2023, its value has increased from UGX 30 million to UGX 100 million, with a substantial portion provided in kind. The renewed sponsorship will support both the girls’ and boys’ tournaments, key fixtures in Uganda’s schools cricket calendar.
The 2026 Schools Cricket Week will include the Girls’ Tournament scheduled for May and the Boys’ Tournament set for August, all under the Sky View brand. The deal runs through the conclusion of the boys’ tournament, with an option for further renewal discussions.
Hariss International’s Head of Marketing, Samuel Hooper, emphasized the importance of sports in youth development, noting that the company is committed to inspiring and nurturing the next generation through continued investment in cricket.
Cricket Uganda CEO Evelyn K.B. Shinyekwa welcomed the renewal, highlighting its role in ensuring high standards for both tournaments while supporting young players nationwide. She added that the partnership enhances the overall experience for participants through improved organization and resources.
Cricket Uganda Honorary Secretary Denis Musali also praised the collaboration, stating that Sky View’s branding across kits, trophies, and digital platforms brings professionalism and motivation to the competitions while strengthening support for the sport.
