The spotlight shines brightly on the talented young cricketers of Uganda as the Baby Cricket Cranes clinched victory in the Easter Youth 50 Over Series. Displaying exceptional skill and determination, the team secured a memorable win against Kenya U-19 in the final, emerging victorious by a margin of 47 runs. With eyes set on the U-19 World Cup Qualifiers, this triumph marks a promising start for Uganda’s rising cricket stars.
National Team Focus:
Meanwhile, the senior national team, the Cricket Cranes, has resumed training under the guidance of interim coach Jackson Ogwang. With rigorous sessions held in Lugogo and Entebbe, the team is honing their skills and tactics in preparation for upcoming challenges. Victoria Pearls Preparation:
On another front, the Victoria Pearls are diligently preparing for the T20 Globals World Cup Qualifiers, scheduled from April 19th to May 2nd in Abu Dhabi. With six schools competing for a chance to shine on the big stage, the tournament promises thrilling matches and fierce competition. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, with dreams of securing a spot in the main event in May.
