JKL Dolphins 45-66 City Oilers

Former Tusker Lite National Basketball League (NBL) champions Falcons will stay in the top flight for a while but their 91-62 loss to university outfit Ndejje Angels on Wednesday during their final regular season fixture leaves a lot of questions to the former giants.

Falcons went into the Wednesday tile in search for a point to beat relegation and their fixture honoring would secure top flight action next season.

Ndejje was bundled the six-time champions as Samuel Ajack managed a game high 32 points with Innocent Ochera and Gauthier Badhera returning 24 and 17 points respectively.

Henry Mbaziira and Said Khamdis managed 15 points each while Dickson Asiku had 13 points for faded Falcons.

Falcons have lost 18 games in regular season and the Wednesday defeat was the 6th in a row. They finish 10th in regular season with no place in the playoffs while Kampala University and Our Saviour got relegated. YMCA Lady Hamsters and MUK Sparks were relegated in the women’s league.

In the other game of the night, holders City Oilers beat JKL Dolphins 66-45 to finish regular season in second going into playoffs behind UCU Canons.

Oilers’ Francis Chisioke Azolibe managed a game high 18 points including 19 rebounds. Landry Ndikumana managed 15 while Josh Johnson had 11 points. James Okello returned 10 rebounds. Lumanyika had 17 points while Brian Namake had 12 points for JKL.
