The Guinness 5-aside football tournament will be played this Sunday at the Fast Sports Fusion on 5th Street, Industrial Area in Kampala.
The one-day competition will be played by only unlicensed players with each team allowed to have a maximum of four reserves –to make nine players in total.
The competition was officially launched on Tuesday evening at the same venue with the media select side playing against Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) team with the latter coming out 11-4 winners.
Kelvin Gumisiriza, the Guinness Brand Representative said that unlike many events in which UBL have partnered, the 5-aside meet will be a unique experience.
“We are very excited ahead of this event. Participants should brace themselves for both fan and action. The winning team will take Shs5m cash prize,” Gumisiriza noted.
Fast Sports Fusion Sports Manager Henry Kalisa revealed that interested teams can register at Fast Sport Fusion at Shs300,000.
