3rd Leg (Eastern Circuit) @Soroti Grounds
Uganda Rugby Union (URU) has today, Tuesday 12th October 2021 released pools for the third leg of the Guinness 7s dubbed Eastern Circuit that will be held on Saturday, 16th October 2021 at Soroti Grounds. This weekend’s event of the series will be hosted by local outfit Soroti Rangers.
Hosts, Soroti Rangers are seeded in Pool A alongside top tier sides Black Pirates, Impis and Warriors. The home side will seek to impress on home soil but they’ve a hard task at hand.
Series leaders Kobs are seeded in Pool A alongside a tricky Jinja Hippos side. Mongers and Sailors are in the same group.
Kobs who have won the opening two legs lead the Series with 44 points, six ahead of Black Pirates who have finished as runners up in the past two events.
Pool C has Kyadondo Rugby Club based sides Heathens and Buffaloes. Rams are in the same group.
Walukuba Barbarians is in the invited side to the circuit. They are seeded in Pool C.
After the Eastern Circuit, the series will take a one weekend break. After the break, the fourth circuit (Rujumba 7s) will be played in the weekend of 30th and 31st October at Kings Park, Bweyogerere. It will be hosted by Black Pirates.
