Forward Anita Namata was unveiled yesterday joining the Queens Of Soccer from FKF Women Premier League side Vihiga Queens FC on a one year contract deal.

“I’m excited to join Kampala Queens, despite joining in the middle of the season my target is to be the MVP and topscorer.” Natama quoted during the unveiling.

“I chose the Queens of Soccer because they are the defending Champions and I want to improve on my achievements then get a team in Europe” she added.

Namata becomes Ayiekoh Charles’s first signing at the palace in this January transfer window and she joins our front line to fill the gaps of Margret Kunihira, Grace Aluka and Fazila Ikwaput who left the palace last year.

Namata joins the palace with vast experience having guided She Corporate FC to the finals of 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers Tanzania and also played a tremendous role in Vihiga Queens FC journey to 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers Uganda where the Kenyan side finished semi finalist at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
