Uganda Premier League
MYDA FC vs BUL FC
King George IV Memorial Stadium
Tuesday, 15-05-2021 @4pm

MYDA FC will host BUL FC at the King George IV Memorial Stadium in one of the two games that mark the return of the Uganda Premier League after a 25-day break.

The league had taken a break due to the international friendly window so as to enable the Uganda Cranes to face South Africa in Soweto.

Upon its return, MYDA will be hoping for a victory that will see them postpone its relegation to the Big League.

They currently occupy second from bottom with just 14 points accumulated from 26 games.

Their tally 12 points behind Busoga United who sit in 13th spot and a loss or draw at home to BUL means there will not be top-flight action for the Malaba based side in the 2021/22 season.

MYDA FC a hard team

Despite the situation that MYDA are in currently, BUL head coach Alex Isabirye is worried of the threat that the hosts posses.

“Our opponents are in the drop zone but it will not be an easy game. Said Isabirye in his pre-match interview.

“They (MYDA) score goals so it will be a hard contest against them.”

MYDA indeed score goals as they have netted an impressive tally of 31 which is an average of over-a-goal every game.

Their biggest downfall has been on the defensive end where they have let in 71 goals.

For BUL, they will target improving on their league position. They are currently in 11th with only 30 points

Peter Mutebi, Martin Mande, Dickson Outta and Ibrahim Nsimbe are doubtful due to injury for MYDA. Isaac Osikol returns after missing the loss to Wakiso Giants FC.

The visiting team welcomes back Walter Ochora and Joseph Ssemujju who missed out some games. Simon Peter Oketch, Richard Wandyaka, Kenneth Ssemakula and Musa Esenu are expected to inspire Isabirye’s charges to victory.

The first meeting between the two sides ended in a 4-1 victory for BUL FC.
