Kansai Plascon FC risks getting dissolved -Reports

After their devastating 4-0 loss to Kyetume in the FUFA Big league playoffs final on Saturday at the StarTimes stadium in Lugogo, Kansai Plascon have petition FUFA over Kyetume’s alleged use of ineligible players.

Benon Tahomera opened the scoring before four-time Uganda premier league top scorer Robert Ssentongo grabbed a hat trick to seal Kyetume’s promotion to the 2019/20 Premier league season.

“It is a good result for us and the fans. I joined the team in the middle of the season this year and I was determined to lead it to the premier league,” noted Ssentongo.

Kyetume, handled by Jackson Mayanja and Allan Kabonge joined Wakiso Giants and Proline FC as the three promoted sides to the premier league next season replacing relegated Paidha Black Angels, Nyamityobora and Ndejje University.

The Purple Sharks and Proline secured automatic qualification after the regular season having topped the Elgon and Rwenzori group respectively.

However, despite dismal performance in Saturday, Kansai Plascon’s search for premier league return continues in the boardroom after logging a petition to FUFA on Saturday claiming that Kyetume’s Emmanuel Kalyowa (goalkeeper) and striker Vincent Owundo are double licensed as they allegedly hold Kenya premier league licenses.

The letter addressed to the FUFA Competition committee was signed by club CEO Tom Ochen. There are rumors that Kansai Plascon management may do away with the football club after failure to earn promotion to top tier for better visibility as a promotional tool for the paint manufacturing company.
