Olila High school fixture against Kawempe Muslim headlined the 2019 FUFA Women Cup Round of 16 draws held at FUFA house, Mengo late last month. The much anticipated fixture is on this Sunday at Olila grounds, Soroti and this will be a repeat of the 2017/18 FUFA Women Elite League final where Kawempe Muslim edged the Soroti-based side courtesy of skipper (former) Tracy Jones Akiror’s lone strike at Lugogo.
Olila won the maiden FUFA Women’s Cup in 2017 defeating Asubo Gafford Ladies in the final played in Busia at the Madibira grounds and will be seeking to win the annual knockout tournament for the second time whilst the four-time successive league champions seeking their maiden title.
Kawempe convincingly ejected last season winners UCU Lady Cardinals at the previous round after a 3-1 away win but will have to be at their best against Olila to storm the quarter finals –a stage they have never exceeded.
