KCCA FC beat Bright Stars FC 1-2 on Thursday, 3rd December 2020 at Kavumba Recreational Ground in the opening fixture of the 2020/21 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) season.

Brian Ahebwa made a dream debut for KCCA after he slotted home in the 21st minute to become the first player to score this season.
Samuel Ssenyonjo doubled KCCA’s lead in the 27th minute as the visitors led 0-2 at half time.

In the second half, both sides fired blanks most of the time until Bright Stars pulled one back in the 83rd minute through Baker Mbowa to narrow down KCCA lead.
Five new signings were handed their competitive KCCA debuts that is; Denis Iguma, Mazengo Loro, Asharaf Mugume, Samson Kigozi and Brian Aheebwa.

SUPL, just like other sports events is played without fans as a COVID-19 preventive measure.

Head To Head:
After today’s game, Bright Stars have now met KCCA 15 times in the league.
Bright Stars’ only win against KCCA happened last season at home whilst KCCA has won 10 games and settled for four draws.

Bright Stars has scored 11 goals in this fixture against KCCA’s 24.
Bright Stars have only managed seven points against KCCA while the later has bagged 34 in all their meetings.

Premier League action returns on Friday with five games on card.
