Uganda Premier League
KCCA FC 2-0 Kyetume
Sunday, 16-05-2022

KCCA FC ended a run of three games without victory as they beat Kyetume FC 2-0 at Lugogo on Sunday.

A goal each from Julius Poloto and Samuel Ssenyonjo inspired the Kasasiro Boys to the much desired win after losing to both Bright Stars FC and Vipers SC and then drawing with Police FC in their last three matches.

Poloto was at the right place at the right time to slid in a Gift Ali teasing cross at the far post and hand the hosts a deserved lead.

After a reasonable spell with both sides going back and forth Ssenyonjo put the contest to be in the 63rd minute when he collected from Hassan Musana from outside the box, made a turn as he freed himself fro marker, before unleashing a ferocious strike past Derrick Were in the Kyetume goal.

From there on wards, KCCA just maintained possession and made sure the visitors couldn’t find a way back into the game.

Victory ensured KCCA reclaim 4th spot and now move to 41 points for the season, one ahead of fifth-placed Bright Stars FC.

For Kyetume, they have now lost 12 games this season and stay in 14 with 20 points, six adrift of safety with just six games to play.
