KCCA FC have maintained their perfect run in the 2020/21 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season after recording a 2-0 win against Mbarara City on Friday at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

Veteran defender Denis Iguma put the home side in front in the 39th minute as they led 1-0 at half time.

Later in the second half, forward Samuel Ssenyonjo who bagged a hat trick last time out scored KCCA’s second to seal a comprehensive 2-0 victory against a resilient visiting side.

KCCA remain atop the table with nine points off three wins from three games.

At King George IV Memorial Stadium in Tororo, Onduparaka FC survived a late penalty scare to beat MYDA FC 2-3 to claim first league points on the road.

Ibra Nsimba scored MYDA’s opener in the 10th minute as Onduparaka who lost 8-0 against KCCA last time out looked out of shape.

However, Living Kabon leveled matters moments later before Gabriel Matata struck in the 41st minute to earn the visitors a 1-2 lead at half time.

Onduparaka seemed to have completed their comeback when Amis Muwonge scored a third goal in the 48th minute.

However, Nsimba returned to haunt Onduparaka when he pulled one back in the 68th minute.

In what would have been the last kick of the game, Nsimba threw away the chance of becoming hero when he missed from the spot to ‘gift’ Onduparaka maximum points.

In Jinja, Busoga United held Kyetume FC to a 1-1 draw.
