Kitara FC vs KCCA FC

Friday, 18-06-2021

KCCA FC will be out to take all three points when they take on Kitara FC at the Masindi Municipal Stadium on Friday.

In a trying season, the Kasasiro Boys have failed to find consistency as they keep on blowing hot and cold.

However, they have gone four league games minus defeat (D2 L2) ever since the back to back home defeats against Bright Stars and Vipers SC, last month.

The two victories in that period both came at home as they defeated Kyetume FC 2-0 and Busoga United 3-1.

On the road, Morley Byekwaso’s side have won only one of their past six games (D3 L2).

That victory came in a 1-0 defeat of Onduparaka FC on the 25th of April at the Green Light stadium.

Currently in 4th spot with 45 points, KCCA’s target is to finish the season on a high and lay a foundation for next campaign.

“We respect the last four games because we need to finish well on the table. Stressed Byekwaso ahead of the game.

“Even though we have performed poorly this season, but we have to try and finish well.”

Against Kitara, KCCA must fancy their chances of winning the contest.

The Masindi based side have been awful in their first top-flight campaign and have already been relegated.

They occupy bottom of the log with just 13 points from 26 games.

Kitara have been the whipping Boys of the division and come into the game having conceded an outrageous 75 goals so far.

It will take a miracle of sorts for them to stop KCCA even on their own patch.

A 3-1 home victory against MYDA FC is their only three points in the last five attempts.

The two sides will be meeting only for the third time in history with the previous two ending in 1-0 and 4-0 victories for KCCA in the Cup and League respectively.

Team News

Kitara will welcome back forward Nathan Oloro who is returning from injury but will be without the trio of Ivan Akena, Zakayo Kizito and Yubu Bogere.

For KCCA, Denis Iguma returns from suspension but Sadat Anaku, John Revita, Filbert Obenchan and Andrew Kigozi will all not feature.
