KCCA FC will be seeking the summit of the 2019/20 StarTimes Uganda Premier league when they travel to in-form URA FC at the Arena of Vision, Luwero this Friday.

KCCA at 41 points after 19 games, are just two points behind leaders Vipers SC who host Onduparaka on Sunday at the St Mary’s stadium, Kitende.

Ahead of the tie, KCCA FC Manager Mike Mutebi said that they will not be playing under pressure despite the fact that they need to assent to the summit.

Sam Ssimbwa

“We want to win all our games to retain the title. We shall not be under pressure to go to the top and we shall not be thinking about Vipers. We are playing a different team in URA which is a title contender its self,” noted Mutebi, who is hit by injuries in his attacking force.

“Almost all my strikers are injured but we shall have to our best to negotiate past our opponents. We are not influenced by individual players. We play as a team and we shall approach the game as a team,” he added. After the eam’s 1-1 away stalemate against Tooro United on Wednesday, URA FC head coach Sam Ssimbwa sounded content with a point won than two lost.

“Am happy with the point we picked in Fort because this is a team that beat us at home in the first round. Of course, we wanted to win but we couldn’t. We thank God for the point because it’s better than nothing,” noted Sam Ssimbwa, who formerly worked under Mike Mutebi at KCCA FC.

URA are 5th with 30 points from 19 games, same as Onduparaka.

Victory moves the Tax Collectors to fourth or third place if they can win with a 4-goal margin.
