BUL 2-1 Kitara
Alex Kitata was on target twice as BUL FC beat Kitara FC 2-1 in a Uganda Premier League fixture played on Sunday at the Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru.
On the other hand, Denis Omedi got Kitara’s consolation, also his fourth goal of the 2023/24 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season.
The win earned BUL their seventh league victory out of eight matches they have played. The Jinja side has now stretched the lead by four points to 21.
The only small dent on BUL’s day out was the sending off of Ibrahim Kazindula, who got marching orders after picking his second yellow card on 75 minutes.
On their part, league newcomers, Kitara, have lost just two of their eight matches, leaving them in third place on 16 points.
Pilsner Man of the Match, Kitata, opened the scoring on seven minutes before completing his brace in the 19th.
The two goals were Kitata’s fifth and sixth of the season, taking him top of the scoring charts.
Omedi reduced the deficit for Kitara with 10 minutes to go but BUL held out to claim all three points.
