The Cricket Uganda Men’s 50-Over League is set for an action-packed Matchday Five this Sunday, 29th March 2026, with Gold and Silver category fixtures promising drama, redemption, and first victories for several teams.
In the Gold category, four sides are still chasing their maiden win, heightening the stakes across two key encounters. At Jinja SS Oval, Ceylon Lions face JACC in a clash of winless teams. Ceylon Lions have struggled so far, losing both previous matches, but the return of national players Mathew Musinguzi and Charles Musemeza could prove pivotal.
JACC, meanwhile, regain captain Kenneth Waiswa, whose early-season five-wicket haul remains a highlight. Both sides will lean on their standout performers, with Perry Wazombe key for Ceylon Lions and Jonathan Nyiiro leading JACC.
Meanwhile, Mukono Warriors take on Aboojo at Serenity Oval, Kamengo. Both sides are yet to register a win this season, but the matchup also marks their first-ever competitive meeting. Mukono Warriors, newly promoted, will look to Gerald Olipa’s batting to spark success, while Aboojo, with the returning Joseph Baguma, aim to leverage their top-tier experience.
In the Silver category, Soroti City seeks to launch their season against SKLPS at Florida Oval. Soroti’s opener against Wanderers was washed out, but previous victories over SKLPS in the 2024 UCA T20 Championship give them a psychological edge.
At Entebbe Cricket Oval, Wanderers aim to maintain momentum after a dominant 165-run win over Nile Cricket Club, while Avengers are eager to rebound from a heavy defeat in their opener. Past encounters between these two suggest a tightly contested match.
