Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has received materials from FIFA in regard to the new campaign dubbed “Football Unites the World” campaign.

FIFA, the World football governing body has a vision of making football truly global, being diverse and inclusive in order to benefit the entire world and thus several interventions have been made to this effect.

The latest campaign is dubbed ‘FOOTBALL UNITES THE WORLD’ that was introduced by FIFA President Gianni Infantino before the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and now carried on at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

FIFA Secretary General, Fatma Samoura believes this message will help football to touch the lives of many people.

“It remains our objective that this message continues to touch the lives of many, impacting society and promoting our sport as a force for good in the world into the future,” reads a statement from Samoura.

“Football Unites the World is a global movement to inspire, unite and develop through football. It brings people together, all over the world to celebrate the beautiful game. It represents the commitment of those who live football – be the players, coaches, fans, partners or administrators – to shape our communities, our lives and our society.” She adds.

To amplify the message across all its Member Associations (MAs), FIFA will provide the following:

1 FIFA flag landscape size S (1.5 x 1.0m)

1 FIFA flag landscape size M (2.25 x 1.5m)

2 FIFA flags landscape size L (3.0 x 2.0m)

1 Football Unites the World flag landscape size M (2.25 x 1.5m)

1 Football Unites the World flag landscape size L (3.0 x 2.0m)

FUFA CEO, Edgar Watson appreciates the new campaign and indicates Uganda will embrace it fully.

“FUFA as a Member Association of FIFA appreciates the new campaign whose sole aim is to create awareness about football in every part of the world. We shall therefore, embrace the campaign and put it into effect.” He said.
