Mukwala returns to Cecafa squad for injured Lubega

Steven Mukwala has bounced back as replacement for injured Indris Lubega just hours after being axed from the Uganda Cranes squad that is preparing for the 2019 Cecafa Senior challenge Cup which commences this weekend in Kampala.

The Proline striker, who has four league goals to his name so far this season, withdrew due to knee injury -which gave the Maroons striker on loan from Vipers SC chance to bounce back.

Mukwala has eight league goals to his name as the third top scorer in the 2019/20 season. Twenty six (26) players took part in training on Thursday at the StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.

Meanwhile, FUFA has opened up entrance for Uganda Cranes game against Burundi on Saturday in order to ensure increase of fans to cheer the home side.

The game to be hosted Namboole stadium will the second on the day after Djibouti plays Somalia at the Kabaka Kyabaggu grounds, Wakisha in Wakiso district. The team will have the last training session this Friday at the StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.

Goalkeepers: Charles Lukwago (KCCA) James Alitho (URA), Said Keni (SC Villa), and Joel Mutakubwa (Kyetume)

Others: Ashraf Mandela (URA FC), Disan Galiwango (Express), Mustafa Kizza (KCCA), John Revita (KCCA), Paul Willa (Vipers SC), Musitafa Mujuzi (Proline FC), Samuel Kato (KCCA), Halid Lwaliwa (Vipers SC), Paul Mbowa (URA FC), Shafiq Kagimu (URA), Karim Watambala (Vipers SC), Nicolas Kasozi (KCCA), Bright Anukani (Proline), Muzamiru Mutyaba (KCCA)
