With four seconds to play, Betway Power’s Isaac Afidra made a steal and went for a lay up at the buzzer as his side managed a slim 69-67 win over Ndejje Angels in their Tusker Lite National Basketball League (NBL) game on Sunday at the MTN Arena, Lugogo in Kampala.
At the end of it all, Afidra posted 16 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and was named Tusker Lite man of the match.
Power remain second on the regular season table with 19 points after 11 games. They are just two points behind log leaders UCU Canons who have also played the same number of games.
Other top performers for Power on Sunday include Innocent Ochera who had 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists, Guddi Nasser who had 12 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists and Dickson Asiku who managed 9 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
For Ndejje, Cikom Monybai had 13 points, 9 rebounds and 1 assist, Haron Alinaitwe posted 15 points, 1 rebound and 5 assists whilst another top performer was Godwin Muhammad with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.
