Power are still winless in the 2021 National Basketball League (NBL) season after losing 70-82 to UPDF Tomahawks on Saturday at the KIU Basketball court in Kansanga.
The loss is Power’s fifth this season after previously dropping points against champions City Oilers, Nam Blazers, KIU Titans and Ndejje Angels.
With a few games to wind down the season that will be played in one round, Power must find their winning form or else risk missing out on playoffs or even at worst get relegated.
For UPDF, Moses Muhumuza shot 19 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Wilberforce Pirwoth had 19 points, Benard Okumu shot 12 points while Ferdinand Odama managed 10 rebounds and 3 assists.
For Power, Saidi Amisi had 16 points, Nasser Guddi had 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists while Robert Tasire had 13 points and 3 rebounds.
In the women’s league, title holders JKL Lady Dolphins maintained their perfect run with a 78-62 over KIU Rangers.
