Ndejje Senior Secondary School is all set to host the upcoming Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Fresh Dairy Secondary School Games, running from April 26th to May 5th. Led by Hajji Twahil Kiteezaala and the USSSA executive committee, the final inspection confirmed the readiness of Ndejje SSS to welcome participants.
Students will engage in various sports including basketball, hockey, badminton, table tennis, and girls’ football. Masaka Senior Secondary School will host boys’ football in Masaka City.
The venues, including Ndejje University and Ndejje SSS grounds, underwent thorough inspections to ensure all facilities are in top condition for the games. Ndejje University will host football, rugby 15s, badminton, table tennis, and tennis, while hockey will take place at Ndejje SS. Janan SS in Bombo will see more basketball games.
The National Organizing Chairperson, Okot P’Bitek, expressed satisfaction with the preparations, anticipating over 4000 students at the event. The opening and closing ceremonies are scheduled for Ndejje University’s main ground.
“We visited all the competition venues and we are impressed with the preparations. The facilities are ready for us and teams are expected to arrive on 26th April and depart on 5th May.We expect over 4000 students at the games. We continue praying to God to guide us through the championship so that we end these games successfully”. Okot P’Bitek, National Organizing Chaiperson, USSSA.
The opening and closing ceremonies will be held at Ndejje University main ground.

“With the support of the Ndejje SSS Old Students Association we have partnered with Rubaga and Case Hospitals who will provide an ambulance each and medical personel for the entire duration of the championship. Draws for all the teams that have qualified will be held on 24th April 2024.
This marks Ndejje SSS’s inaugural hosting of the tournament, and they are eager to provide a warm welcome to all participants. With support from the Ndejje SSS Old Students Association and medical partners, including Rubaga and Case Hospitals, along with Doma Medical Services, comprehensive medical support is ensured throughout the championship.
The previous edition was held at Ntare School in Mbarara 2023.
