In a significant boost of their roster, NEC FC have announced the signing of seasoned left-back, Okocha Rashid, as the club gears up for their debut season in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

PROVEN TRACK RECORD
Okocha Rashid arrives at NEC FC with an impressive resume, having featured in an astounding 63 matches for Onduparaka over the last four seasons. During his time with the Arua-based club, he showcased his defensive prowess and contributed to the team’s success, netting 4 crucial goals along the way. In his last season, Okocha won the StarTimes Man of the Match award three times an achievement that can not go unnoticed.
A SIX-YEAR JOURNEY
What makes Okocha’s arrival even more noteworthy is his deep-rooted connection with Onduparaka. He dedicated six fruitful years to the club, joining them at the end of their debut season in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League from Nebbi Central FC. His loyalty and commitment to Onduparaka over the years have not only honed his skills but have also made him a respected figure within the Ugandan football fraternity.
VICTORIOUS WITH WEST NILE PROVINCE
Okocha’s accomplishments extend beyond the club level. He proudly hoisted the FUFA Drum trophy with West Nile Province, winning four Man of the Match accolades before being named in the Best XI of 2022/23 season a testament to his versatility and ability to shine on a bigger stage. It’s worth noting that during this victorious campaign, Okocha had the privilege of working under the watchful eye of Coach Dudu Bosco, who has also joined NEC FC as the First Assistant Coach.
