In an exclusive interview with Inside Volleyball, Okello, the 2019 USPA male Volleyballer of the year believes the 2020/21 Korean V-League will offer him a chance to make his name in the Asian continent.

“The goal for this season is to go for the title”, said Daudi Okello during the foreign players press conference in Seoul.

Okello joined Sky walkers in the middle of the The 2019/2020 season and went on to win MVP 3rd round gong.
The league came to an end before play offs due to the Corona Virus Pandemic in March 2020.

Okello spent the entire lockdown in South Korea and could not return due to travel restrictions in Uganda.

This will be only the first time Okello is playing for the same team in two seasons, he has previously played with Spor Toto Spor Kulübü , Tokat Belediye Plevnespor , Gallatasray in Turkey and Marek Union Ivkoni in Bulgaria. He has also played for UNIK in Rwanda and KAVC in Uganda.

Okello believes that the competitiveness of the Korean league has helped him build on his career and now seeks to climb greater heights.

“Every game in the Korean V-League is like a final, so my experience here has been great”. Okello added.
In the preseason, Skywalkers lost 3-2 to Kepco in the semifinals of KOVO Cup. Kepco went on to beat Korean Air to the crown.
