Ruben Kimera has extended his stay at Uganda Police FC, the club confirmed on Saturday night. The midfielder’s contract had ran out but he and the club have agreed to sign another two-year deal that will see the player at the Uganda Premier League side for at least two more seasons.

The 24-year old left-footed player who normally plays at the far-left flank (left wing) has promised to return the favor after the club heaped faith on him and extended his stay.

“I feel so good after renewing my contract. I am ready to work hard for the team and I’m hoping for the best this coming season,” Kimera told the club media.

“I am hoping to score and create more goals compared to last season,” the player added.
Police FC CEO Fahad Lumu is backing the player to be more productive this coming season.

“He is an experienced player and we are hoping to see the best out of him. His display on the pitch is great. We are going to support him and other players to help us achieve our goals and objectives,” Lumu said.

Kimera becomes the ninth player to extend his stay at the club. The others are; Joseph Sentume, Johnson Odong, Denis Rukundo, Yusuf Ssozi, Bashir Kabuye, Mubarak Nsubuga, Emmanuel Kiryowa and Musa Matovu.

Earlier on, the club had signed new players ahead of the 2020/2021 season, that is; Tonny Mawejje, Muhamood Hassan, Muwadda Mawejje, Eric Ssenjobe, Tom Ikara and Sammon Oloka.
