Two local giants Vipers SC and SC Villa renew rivalry this Wednesday evening at Namboole stadium in the highlighting encounter of the match day six 2019/20 StarTimes Uganda premier league fixtures.

The match will be played under floodlights and SC Villa will be eager to keep momentum following a 1-0 away win over rivals Express FC in their last game before international break.

Vipers were held to a 2-all draw at home by Mbarara City in last game as they lost their first points of the season. Vipers Coach Edward Golola says that they have put the past behind and look forward to winning tonight.

“We are set for the clash and the boys are aware that we need victory. We intend to approach the game with the best attitude and playing under floodlights will not be an excuse,” noted Golola, whose side came out 3-1 winners in the last visit to SC Villa at Namboole.

Karim Watambala and Frank Tumwesigye are also in contention to return to starting lineup while Ibrahim Tembo returns from compassionate leave. SC Villa lost to Kyetume before beating Mbarara City at Namboole under floodlights this season.

The record 16-time champions will have no suspended Moses Kigundu and impressive U20 captain Garvin Kizito is likely to fill the void in the center back. SC Villa are second on the table with 10 points, 2 behind leaders BUL FC that beat Maroons 2-0 at home on Tuesday Venoms are 6th on log.

The two sides have met 28 times with Vipers wining 12, drawing 10 and losing 6. Meanwhile, Proline beat Express 2-1 at Lugogo yesterday for their second win of the season.
