Ndejje 0-1 Onduparaka

Despite winning their last premier league title in 2004, SC Villa are still the record 16-time champions. The sleeping giants have however endured their worst campaign (2018/19) of lifetime after surviving relegation on the second last match day this season. SC Villa sought victory at home over Tooro United for survival but instead lost 2-1 on Tuesday which left their fate out of their hands but rather Ndejje University. SC Villa had a superior goal difference than Ndejje and a point against Nyamityobora on Saturday would save them. However, a loss in last game, accompanied with Ndejje wins in their last two games against Onduparaka and Kirinya Jinja SS respectively would sink the Villa Park side. The joy of SC Villa fans was felt with no action for their club as Ndejje University, courtesy of Vianey Ssekajugo’s 88th goal, lost 1-0 at home to Onduparaka on Thursday to confirm their relegation and also confirm SC Villa survival. The game was replayed from the 20th minute after being washed out on Tuesday. The loss leaves Ndejje University with 26 points, five behind 14th SC Villa with a game to go. It is now official that all the new comers this season have been relegated including Paidha Black Angels, Nyamityobora and Ndejje University. It is also official that KCCA FC are the 2018/19 champions and will be crowned champions for the 13th title on Saturday after their last fixture as they host Maroons.
