FUFA Women Super League Title Race Goes Down to the Wire on Final Day
The 2025/26 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League season reaches its dramatic conclusion tomorrow, with title rivals She Corporate FC and Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC separated by just one point heading into the decisive final day.
League leaders She Corporate FC sit atop the standings with 50 points, while reigning contenders Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC trail closely on 49 points, setting up a thrilling finale to one of the league’s most competitive seasons in recent years.
All eyes will be on the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, where She Corporate FC host She Maroons FC, while Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC welcome Olila High School WFC at Kawempe Muslim SS Ground.
For She Corporate FC, victory will guarantee them the league title regardless of results elsewhere. A draw could also be enough, provided Kawempe fail to defeat Olila High School WFC.
She Corporate head coach Belyse Ininahazwe says her team is focused on completing the job after a strong campaign.
“We have worked hard throughout the season to reach this moment. The players understand what is at stake and we are focused on finishing the job,” Ininahazwe said.
Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC, meanwhile, must win and hope She Corporate drop points in Njeru to reclaim the title. A draw for Kawempe could still prove enough, but only if She Maroons defeat the league leaders.
Kawempe head coach Ayub Khalifa remains optimistic ahead of the decisive encounter.
“We know the situation clearly. We must win our game and keep believing until the final whistle. The team is ready for the challenge and we shall fight until the end,” Khalifa noted.
The title race intensified after both teams stumbled on the penultimate matchday. She Corporate suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat away to Uganda Martyrs High School WFC, while Kawempe were held to a 1-1 draw by Kampala Queens FC.
Despite those setbacks, both clubs have enjoyed outstanding campaigns built on consistency, disciplined defending and crucial performances in key moments.
Their first-round meetings against tomorrow’s opponents also provide added intrigue. She Corporate and She Maroons played to a goalless draw earlier this season at Luzira Prisons Ground, underlining the competitiveness of the fixture.
Kawempe, on the other hand, secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Olila High School WFC in the reverse fixture played in Soroti and will hope to produce a similar performance with the title on the line.
Away from the championship battle, several other fixtures are expected to provide excitement as teams look to finish the season strongly.
Makerere University WFC will host Kampala Queens FC at Makerere Nsibirwa Ground, Lady Doves FC face St. Noa Girls FC at Katusabe Ground, while Asubo Ladies FC take on Rines SS WFC at Kampala Quality Ground. Amus College WFC will also host Uganda Martyrs High School WFC at Amus Stadium.
Although already relegated, Asubo Ladies FC and Olila High School WFC will be aiming to end their top-flight campaigns on a positive note before returning to the FUFA Women Elite League next season.
The race for the Golden Boot is also expected to go down to the final whistle. She Corporate striker Jesca Namanda currently leads the scoring charts with 15 goals, just one ahead of Kawempe’s Latifah Nakasi, who has netted 14 times this season.
With both forwards expected to spearhead their teams in decisive matches tomorrow, the battle for the league’s top scorer award adds another layer of drama to the grand finale.
As the curtain falls on the 2025/26 season, fans across the country will be watching closely to see whether She Corporate can hold on for glory or Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC can snatch the title at the death.
