During the weigh-in at Taggy hotel in Kampala on Thursday, the UPDF boxer vowed to send his opponent to the canvas when the two fight in the main bout of the ‘Clash of the Generals’ fight night. With six fights, Ssebute remains unbeaten with five knockouts.

The UPDF Corporal by ranking, says that he is very ready for anybody that comes his way. “I am very ready to face off with the Tanzanian, I have been preparing for this fight and I can’t wait for the day to knockdown my opponent,” he said.

Away from the main bout, there will be two title fights with Musa Ntege taking on Congolese Paul Kamatha in the East and Central Boxing Union Cruiser weight (79Kg) title bout Ntege wants to win the title for his home people in Nansana and Nabweru as well as the country at large.

John Sserunjogi will also face veteran Waiswa Juma in the East and Central Union Boxing title Super Middle Weight (75Kg) fight.

Hussein Babu, the Nara promotions director, the company behind the staging of the fight night, said that everything is set for the fight. Uganda professional boxing commission (UPBC) president Salim Uhuru confirmed that the fight had been sanctioned and expects all the bouts to start on time to avoid leaving the venue very late.
