Uganda U17 National Women’s Football team is currently in a residential camp in preparation for the final round of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup 2021 Qualifiers.

Uganda will face Cameroon in the final qualifying hurdle with the first game slated to take place on 31st October 2020 in Kampala and the return leg two weeks later away.

Uganda come up against Cameron  in what will be their first time out since March when sports activities were banned by government as a Covid-19 preventive measure then.

With competitive play reinstated a few weeks ago, the U17 girls will seek to come good against Cameroon and book a ticket to the global meet.
Team Captain Juliet Nalukenge is upbeat ahead of the Cameroon double-header and is optimistic they will dominate the Kampala clash and possibly ‘seal it’ two weeks later.

“We have been enjoying our training sessions and we hope to replicate what we learn in training during the match,” Nalukenge said in an interview with the team’s media personnel.
“Our coaches have been giving us their best in training and we won’t let them down. We are motivated and focused on winning the Cameroon game,” Nalukenge added.
While in training, the team is taken through basic game drills and always paired into two groups to bring in an idea of game situation into training.

However, for the qualifiers, the winner on aggregate will together with two other countries represent Africa at the finals to be hosted by India between February and March.
Team Uganda is residing at Cranes Paradise Hotel while conducting their filed trainings at Star Times Stadium in Lugogo.
