The Uganda Cranes will play two international friendly matches in Marrakech, Morocco, during the June 2026 FIFA international window as part of preparations for upcoming continental assignments.
According to Federation of Uganda Football Associations Corporate Affairs Director Ahmed Hussein, Uganda will first face Tanzania national football team on June 5 before taking on Madagascar national football team on June 8.
The matches are expected to provide Uganda’s technical bench with an opportunity to assess the squad, strengthen team cohesion, and build competitiveness ahead of the AFCON 2027 qualifiers and other future CAF and FIFA competitions.
Uganda is among the co-hosts of the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations alongside Kenya and Tanzania, making preparations for the tournament a key priority for the national team setup.
Both friendly fixtures will be played in Marrakech, with details regarding venues and kick-off times expected to be announced later.
The games fall within the official FIFA international window, allowing national teams to assemble players for sanctioned preparation matches.
