Uganda Cranes To Travel To Dubai Today

Initially, local based (domestic) Uganda Cranes team players and officials were meant to travel to Dubai yesterday (Sunday) at 5pm aboard Emirates Airlines for a training camp.

However, the sojourn was been pushed to today (Monday) following a delay in travel clearance then.

There was reportedly a delay in processing the travel entry clearance to Dubai hence causing a set back in the arrangements despite the team having fully arranged for the journey.

‘The travel plans for Uganda Cranes contingent to Dubai have been rescheduled to Monday 5th October 2020 due a delay in acquiring the travel entry clearance to UAE’ FUFA Communications Director, Ahmed Hussein confirmed.

‘However, the entire team that passed the Covid-19 tests carried out on Thursday travelled back to the Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisasi where they spent the night and also observed the SOPs set for the camp by the health officials before flying out today (Monday)’ Ahmed Hussein added.

While in Dubai, the selected 13 players will be joined by foreign based players for the 9-day camp.
The camp is in line with the 2021 AFCON qualifiers as well as the 2020 CHAN Finals to be held in Cameroon next year.
