The Uganda U17 National Women’s Football team has embarked on preparations for the final round of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup 2021 Qualifiers against Cameroon.
The team under the stewardship of coaches Hadijja Namuyanja, Olive Mbekeka (fitness) and James Magala (goalkeeper) conducted double sessions on Friday; in the morning and evening at the StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.
The teams will conduct almost all their training sessions in Lugogo.
The team is currently in a residential camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel. This is after undergoing the mandatory tests for COVID-19 as guided by the government.
Uganda will face Cameroon in the final qualifying hurdle with the first game slated to take place on 31st October in Kampala and the return leg two weeks later away.
The winner on aggregate will together with two other countries represent Africa at the finals to be hosted by India between February and March.
