The Uganda Golf Club (UGC) has announced the highly anticipated UGC Ladies Open 2024 Tournament. Scheduled from August 15th to 17th, this event will bring together top female golfers from Uganda and neighboring countries to vie for the coveted title of UGC Ladies Open Champion.

The tournament will feature three divisions: Ladies Silver, Ladies Bronze, and Subsidiary, catering to golfers of all skill levels. Adding to the excitement, the Men’s Gross tournament will run concurrently from August 13th to 15th, promising a week of intense competition and camaraderie.

This year’s event is made possible by the generous support of sponsors including Uganda Airlines, Pepsi/Aquafina, Kampala Serena Hotel, NCBA Bank, NBS Sport, Home Bliss, Wandaz Products Ltd, Fairway Hotel, White Cap Crisp, Elifudiya, Axle Foley Autohouse, Case Medical Services, and Springs Spa & Lounge. Their contributions ensure a world-class experience for all participants and attendees.

“Once again this year we have scheduled the UGC Ladies Open right before the Uganda Open Golf Championship to give the ladies and golfers coming from out of Uganda a chance to participate in two Ladies Opens. We expect to have a good field for our tournament,” said Wendy Angudeyo, UGC Lady Captain.

The UGC Ladies Open 2024 is recognized as a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) event and features a professional segment, with professionals competing for a prize pool of UGX 10,000,000.

Event Highlights:

  • Dates: August 15th – 17th, 2024
  • Location: Uganda Golf Club, Kampala
  • Divisions: Ladies Silver, Ladies Bronze, Men Gross, Professionals & Subsidiary
  • Sponsors: Uganda Airlines, Pepsi/Aquafina, Kampala Serena Hotel, NCBA, NBS Sport, Home Bliss, Wandaz Products Ltd, Fairway Hotel, White Cap Crisp, Elifudiya, Axle Foley Autohouse, Case Medical Services, and Springs Spa & Lounge
