UPL: KCCA eye top spot as Express begin new chapter against Wakiso Giants

As the Uganda Premier League (UPL )continues to heat up, three matches are set for today, October 31, 2024, with KCCA FC looking to seize the opportunity to claim the top position. They face Maroons at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo at 7:00 PM, while Express FC heads to Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium to take on Wakiso Giants at 4:00 PM. BUL FC also hosts Soltilo Bright Stars at the same time.

KCCA, currently third with 14 points, aims for a crucial victory after their recent defeat to NEC, which allowed Lugazi to overtake them. A win against Maroons, who have proven tough opponents with two wins in their last four encounters, would propel KCCA to the top of the table, ahead of Vipers SC.

Meanwhile, Express FC enters a new era under Badru Kaddu after parting ways with coach Baker Mbowa. They have struggled recently, sitting in 10th place with 8 points, and are eager for a turnaround against Wakiso Giants, who are desperately seeking their first win in three matches.

In Najjembe, BUL FC faces a challenge against bottom-placed Soltilo Bright Stars, who are still in search of their first win of the season. With both teams needing points, this match promises to be a pivotal moment in the fight to escape the relegation zone.
