Uganda Premier League
Wednesday Results
*Mbarara 1-1 Express
*Vipers 2-1 Kitara
*Kyetume 1-0 UPDF

Mbarara City came from a goal down to deny Express FC maximum points at Kakyeka Stadium on Wednesday in one of the matchday four fixtures of the 2020/21 Uganda Premier League season.

Godfrey Lwesibawa struck before the interval to hand Express a first half lead away from home.

However, Souleymane Bamba struck late in the second half to ensure that the score is even at full-time.

Lwesibawa’s effort came in the 23rd minute thanks to his well calculated free kick that bounced off Mbarara City goalkeeper Mohammed Ssekeba.

However, Mbarara’s Bamba capitalized on the 77th minute corner kick to level matters as both sides attempted to gain lead later in the game but fired blanks.

The result implies that Mbarara now have two draws and two losses while Express now have two draws and one win.

At St Mary’s Stadium Kitende, hosts Vipers SC rallied from behind to beat newly promoted side Kitara FC 2-1.

After a first half stalemate, Brian Mululi Mayanja handed the visitors a 54th minute lead but Vipers left it late.

Coming of the bench, Paul Mucureezi and Dan Sserunkuma scored a goal each to earn Vipers their first league win from two games.

Mucureezi leveled matters in the 81st minute before Sserunkuma completed the comeback in the 85th minute to offer the defending champions an absolution at home.

Else where, Kyetume FC scored a 94th minute penalty to beat UPDF FC 1-0 after the military side missed from the spot in the 93rd minute.
