SC Villa have ended KCCA FC’s winning streak after condemning them to a 2-1 defeat at Bombo Military Barracks Grounds during matchday four of the 2020/21 Uganda Premier League (UPL) season.

Goals from Nicholas Kabonge and Ronald Ssekiganda earned SC Villa maximum points against their perennial rivals.

Kabonge struck before the interval while Ssekiganda struck in the second half to earn his side a double lead late in the game and he claimed man of the match honors.

However, just two minutes after Ssekiganda’s second, KCCA’s Brian Aheebwa pulled one back in the 87th minute through a penalty.

Villa have now picked their second win of the campaign after previously losing and drawing once.

However, the loss is KCCA’s first ever this season having started the season with a bang that included an 8-0 mauling of Onduparaka at Lugogo plus wins against Bright Stars and Mbarara City.

At the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo, Police FC beat Busoga United 3-0 to go top of the table.

After beating Villa 2-1 last time out, URA FC have maintained their form with a 2-0 win against BUL FC.

Bright Stars have heaped more plight on MYDA FC after beating them 3-2. The top tier league new entrants are still waiting for their first win of the season.
