Bright Stars vs NEC – Kavumba Recreation Ground 4pm
SC Villa vs Wakiso Giants – Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku 4pm
Vipers vs Express – St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende 7pm

In the final stretch of the Uganda Premier League (UPL), NEC FC, Vipers SC, and SC Villa find themselves in must-win situations against Bright Stars, Express, and Wakiso Giants, respectively, to keep their title hopes alive.

NEC faces a tough challenge against Bright Stars at Kavumba Stadium. Sitting 6th in the league with 43 points, NEC aims to close the gap on leaders BUL, who are not in action. A win would bring NEC within three points of the top spot, fueled by their recent victory over BUL in both the league and Uganda Cup.

Meanwhile, SC Villa, sixteen-time champions, seeks redemption at Wankulukuku following a defeat to KCCA that snapped their longest unbeaten streak this season. With 45 points from 25 matches, SC Villa eyes a victory to reach 48 points, just one shy of the league leaders.

In another crucial matchup, Vipers takes on Express in the late kick-off. Despite a recent slump, Vipers understands the significance of a win, as it would propel them to the top of the table on goal difference. Express, on the other hand, aims to revive their campaign after just one win in their last six games.

Lastly, Wakiso Giants are desperate for points to avoid relegation, currently sitting just seven points above the drop zone with nine points left to fight for. SC Villa faces a daunting task against this determined side, who will fight tooth and nail to secure their top-flight status.

As the race for the Uganda Premier League title heats up, NEC, Vipers, and SC Villa must deliver commanding performances to stay in contention and keep their title ambitions alive. The final bend of the league promises high stakes, intense battles, and crucial victories as the top contenders vie for supremacy.
