URA FC finished fifth in this year’s Pilsner super 8 tournament after beating Wakiso Giants 4-2 in penalties after a 2-all draw in the fifth place classification game at the Wakisha resource center in Wakiso on Monday.

Said Kyeyune and Brian Majwega gave the Tax Collectors lead in the 2nd and 29th minute before Karim Ndugwa and debutant Viane Sekajugo equalized for the Purple Sharks.

URA FC Captain Shafik Kagimu was named Man of the match

Kyeyune slotted home the opener off Shafic Kagimu’s assist before the captain doubled lead from a beautiful free kick.

Ndugwa benefited from Alionzi’s blunder to lessen the deficit after break before Sekajugo made a scoring debut with a late equalizer.

The Giants missed a penalty in the first half through Geoffrey Sserunkuma when Ssekajugo was tripped in the box. In shootouts, Wakiso Giants’ goalkeeper Yasin Mugabi kept out Shafic Kagimu’s kick but URA’s Nafian Alionzi also kept out Daff Luboobi.

Despite scoring a stoppage time equalizer, Sekajugo buffed his penalty kick over the bar.
