Event 2: FUFA D Coaching Course
Time: Saturday 21st – Saturday 28th, November 2020
Venue: Victoria Inn Kabale
Uganda Youth Football Association (UYFA) in co-ordination with Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has organized Beginners and FUFA D Coaching Courses in Kabale District, Kigezi Sub Region.
The two non residential courses will take place at Victoria Inn Kabale Municipality, Kigezi Sub Region taking a period of Two weeks.
Beginners Coaching Course will kick off on Monday 16th and climax on Saturday 21st November while FUFA D will start on Saturday 21st and end Saturday 28th the same month.
UYFA General Secretary, Shafic Kigongo highlighted as to why the Association is putting more emphasis on capacity building.
“FUFA introduced the New Academy Regulations. There were prerequisites as standards for all licensed academies to operate. Among those, FUFA prioritized 5 areas for issuance and classification of the FUFA Registered Football Academy.”
“In addition to the mandatory requirements, the licensees will be graded as evaluated depending on the following criteria:- 1- Governance, 2- Sport, 3- Personnel and administration, 4- Finance, 5- Infrastructure, facilities & Equipment. Among sport, the Academy will earn 5 points as per quality of coaches.”
According to Kigongo, having gone through a national Sensitization program, UYFA has further realized that there is a need to back this prerequisite.
For one to take part in FUFA D coaching course in Kabale, a non refundable fee of Two Hundred twenty Thousand Uganda Shillings only must be paid (220,000/=) while for Beginners coaching course one must have paid One Hundred Twenty Thousand Shillings only (120,000/=) payable to UYFA.
Uganda Youth Football Association has already staged a FUFA D coaching course in Entebbe Road Sub Region of Buganda Region at St Pedro Pio Catholic School Kabulamuliro Bwebajja, Entebbe from Monday 2nd to Monday 9th November.
