Uganda Premier League side Vipers SC have parted ways with their head coach Leonard Martins Neiva, a club missive confirmed on Christmas Eve.
“Vipers Sports Club informs it’s stakeholders and general public that it has by mutual consent ended its contractual relationship with Mr. Leonard Martins Neiva (Head Coach) effective December 23rd, 2023.”
“The club would like to thank Neiva for his services during his stay at the Venoms family and wishes him the best in his career development,” the club statement read.
Neiva’s departure comes just days after Vipers lost 3-2 to BUL FC in a league fixture played under the floodlights at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende in what was the club’s first home loss in two years.
Neiva joined the club in June this year replacing Alex Isabirye who had guided the club to their first domestic double.
