Weatherhead Hockey Clubs are vying to de-crown Wananchi Hockey who won the men and women league titles last year’s year. Both teams are in action this weekend in the week three of the National Hockey League at Lugogo.
Weatherhead men’s team are former champions and are favorites to topple Wananchi. The ladies side though has struggled to match their rivals.
Weatherhead men’s side were not in action last weekend but round return to face Rockets. A game against Rockets is always a good harvest for Weatherhead.
Weatherhead coach player Vincent Arnold Kasasa recently revealed that their recently trip to Kenya will continue to boost them in any outing during this campaign. They won their last game against Simba HC.
Weatherhead ladies side has had two draws so far and albeit maintaining their unbeaten streak, they lack ruthless in front of goal. They face Kampala this Saturday.
Earlier on Saturday, Wanachi Ladies side is buoyed for another victory as they entertain DCU HC. Wananchi is the side to beat in the women’s league following their resurgent dominance.
On Sunday, Kampala HC men’s side will seek for another victory against veterans side Historicals.
Title holders Wananchi are favorites against Simba when the two sides meet later on Sunday to crown game day three.
