5-day FIFA-FUFA futsal referees course starts

FUFA Futsal Referees Course has officially been opened today, Monday 23rd May 222 at African Bible University – Lubowa by FUFA Executive Secretary for Football Development, Ronnie Kalema on behalf of the FUFA President.

“Football development will only be achieved through capacity building and increasing the figure of human resource through such education arrangements. Our target is to have our referees for Futsal, football and beach soccer officiate at the World cup.” said Kalema in his opening remarks.

He also thanked FIFA for the tireless efforts in developing the game.

Day one kicked off with a physical fitness test for all participants before a class session in the afternoon.

Mauritian FIFA Futsal Technical Instructor Farid Bhewa takes charge of the 5-day course assisted by local instructors; Kizito Rehma Nansubuga-FUFA Futsal referees fitness instructor and Samuel Egesa – Referees Manager.

“I am very happy that you (the participants) are receptive therefore promise to do my best to equip you with the knowledge about Futsal” commented Bhewa.

The maiden Physical Futsal course has been attended by seventeen (17) participants in the first session, with four more days of Knowledge impartation awaiting before closure on Friday 27th May 2022.
