Ashraf Mugume has reaffirmed his commitment to KCCA FC by signing a new three-year contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2026-27 season.

Mugume originally joined KCCA FC in June 2020 on a four-year deal set to expire at the conclusion of the 2023-24 season. Since his arrival, the FUFA Juniors League graduate has become a crucial player for the team.

In the 2023-24 season, Mugume was a key contributor to the squad, finishing third in the club’s goal-scoring charts with seven league goals. He trailed only Shaban Muhammad and Usama Arafat, who netted 17 and 8 goals respectively.

Expressing his joy at the contract renewal, Mugume told the club’s media team:

“I am thrilled to extend my time at KCCA FC. Since joining in 2020, I’ve felt welcomed and supported by my teammates, which helped me adapt quickly. Over the years, I have grown as a player and gained valuable experience. I am fully committed to helping the team succeed and share the manager’s vision for the future. Together, I believe we can achieve great things.”

During his tenure at KCCA FC, Mugume has also earned several senior national team call-ups for both the Uganda Cranes and the U23s, highlighting his consistent performance and growth.

Wearing the number 17 shirt since his arrival, Mugume has established himself as a fan favorite and a dependable member of the squad.

KCCA FC congratulates Ashraf Mugume on his contract extension and wishes him continued success with the club.
