Ashraf Mugume has reaffirmed his commitment to KCCA FC by signing a new three-year contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2026-27 season.
Mugume originally joined KCCA FC in June 2020 on a four-year deal set to expire at the conclusion of the 2023-24 season. Since his arrival, the FUFA Juniors League graduate has become a crucial player for the team.
In the 2023-24 season, Mugume was a key contributor to the squad, finishing third in the club’s goal-scoring charts with seven league goals. He trailed only Shaban Muhammad and Usama Arafat, who netted 17 and 8 goals respectively.
Expressing his joy at the contract renewal, Mugume told the club’s media team:
“I am thrilled to extend my time at KCCA FC. Since joining in 2020, I’ve felt welcomed and supported by my teammates, which helped me adapt quickly. During his tenure at KCCA FC, Mugume has also earned several senior national team call-ups for both the Uganda Cranes and the U23s, highlighting his consistent performance and growth.
Wearing the number 17 shirt since his arrival, Mugume has established himself as a fan favorite and a dependable member of the squad.
