Defending champions Aziz Damani tore Neely promoted Tornado Bee apart at the Lakeside Oval in Entebbe in their two games as the women’s T20 League returned over the weekend.

Damani chased down small totals in both games without breaking a sweat winning by nine wickets in the morning and 10 wickets in the afternoon.

Tornado Bee snatched Shakira Sadick from Wanderers but she couldn’t inspire her new side to victory. Damani have added the explosive Proscovia Alako to their team from Olila Cricket Club.

In Lugogo Wanderers was too strong for Pioneer Cricket Club in both games winning by 7 wickets in the morning and 10 wickets in the afternoon. Wanderers surprised all by the kind of side they have been able to assemble especially with the two experienced ladies from Bangladesh Shohaly Akther and Fargana Boby.

The ever green Franklin Najjumba also joined Wanderers at compliment Rita Musamali, Susan Kakai and elite league MVP Mildred Anyingo.

Shohaly Akther was the difference in both games her spin grabbing nine wickets the whole weekend with 3/5 in the morning and 6/6 in the afternoon.

A great weekend for Aziz Damani and Wanderers to start off the ladies T20 League, action will continue this weekend at various grounds.
