Overall Winners

Ladies: Martha Babirye – 67 nett

Men: Andrew Baguma – 69 nett c/b

Martha Babirye and Andrew Baguma came top of female and male categories respectively in the Stanbic Bank Half Year (June) Mug at the Uganda Golf Club, Kitante on Saturday.

Babirye returned 67 nett while Baguma had 69 nett on count back to win air tickets from Qatar Airways and mugs from Stanbic Bank Uganda.

Babirye was excited about the victory. She revealed that now sights are set on the Uganda Open. Baguma received a standing ovation for winning the longest drive – men prize.

Eve Magala – 72 nett topped women’s Group B while Victoria Ngabire – 77 nett c/b came top in Group A. In the men’s pool, Michael Muhangi – 69 nett topped Group C, Charles Odere – 69 nett came good in Group B while Jaime Byaruhanga – 71 nett topped Group A.

In the seniors category; Mark Ntege,  Matata Onyango, Sam Byabagaire and Jeninah Nasimolo were the elites. Stanbic Bank Marketing Manager for Corporate Banking and Business Banking, Lois Aber Kwikiriza expressed delight in having a successful half way journey of the year.

“I hope the remaining quarterly mugs and the mug of mugs in December will be massive. Congratulations to the winners,” she said before claiming that Stanbic Bank has over 25 active golfers.

Lato Milk will donate all the proceeds from sales during the showpiece towards treatment of sick children especially those in need of surgery. The Monthly Mug is sponsored by Stanbic Bank, Lato Milk, Qatar Airways and Nation Media are co-sponsors
